New players be warned

This used to be one of the best games on the app store. Super addictive. Super fun. Decent progress rate. I never pay for anything, but I was happy to spend on this one to encourage the devs, that were providing me with this enjoyment. I know, I played non stop for around 250 days.

Then came the dark times. New administration. Slowly over time, the once fun game became very grindy. Progression was dramatically slowed. Event rewards got lowered by a factor of 5 to 10. Items in the in game shop are frightfully expensive. Now, even with all that, the game added some nice features, so a player could somewhat swallow it and still enjoy a few things. Somewhat. But the latest major update contained a very significant change. One very very much to the detriment of the players. Basically, you can no longer get to the point where you max out your heroes within a year or two of playing. New heroes take a minimum of 500 dollars to max out. Think about that. One single hero within a mobile app game. 500$. The more informed players that used to spend tons of money on the game left. People massively asked for refunds.

To sum it up, you have been warned. Forget the positive reviews of this game. I read a number of them and they make no sense. Go read the game forums for a better idea. Read the negative reviews for a better idea. If you want to have a bit of fun, progress a bit but not that much then hit a massive paywall, or if you have thousands and thousands of dollars to waste away, then this game is for you. Otherwise, wait like a number of the old players do, that the devs realize their mistake and bring this game back to its once greatness.
